"Acupuncture is Timeless Medicine for Modern Times."
My Approach
According to the World Health Organization, acupuncture is a proven, effective treatment for numerous conditions, including headaches, vertigo, post-traumatic stress syndrome, painful menstrual periods, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel syndrome, and many other health issues.
Acupuncture has been a healing art for over 2000 years. According to the underlying philosophy, illness occurs when a body experiences imbalance in the energy (Qi) of the Five Elements (Fire/Earth/Metal/Water/Wood), or in the Eight Principles (interior/exterior, yin/yang, excess/deficient, hot/cold). This imbalance causes blockage or stagnation. The intent of acupuncture is to bring the body and mind back into balance.
A treatment might include Dry Needling, Sotai, Gua Sha, cupping, moxabustion, electro-stimulation, microneedling, a homeopathic injection, lasers or traditional acupuncture. One patient may need aggressive treatments such as dry needle while another patient could require light cupping or Gua Sha. Every one of my treatments is unique and individualized for each patient and his/her presenting conditions.
At A-A-Acupuncture, I use a holistic integrative approach to care incorporating insights from Western and Eastern medicine. I utilize Traditional Chinese Medicine, Five Element, Japanese, and Meridian techniques according to each individual’s conditions and concerns.

Disclaimer
Acupuncture can be a powerful tool for wellness, but everyone responds differently & results vary. While it helps many people with a wide range of issues, it’s an Integrative therapy, not a substitute for Western medical care by a licensed healthcare provider. With acupuncture, multiple treatments are often needed to see progress. Certain conditions may require a different approach or additional support.
